QuidsUp

Privacy notice

Last updated: 20 October 2026

This notice explains how QuidsUp handles personal information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. The data controller is QuidsUp, United Kingdom. Contact: support@quidsup.co.uk.

The short version

Everything you put into the QuidsUp app (budgets, invoices, clients, mileage, receipt photos and so on) is stored on your own device, in your browser's storage. It is not sent to us, and we can't see it. Receipt photos are read on your device, not uploaded.

Information we do process

Why we can use it (lawful basis)

Contract: to provide the plan you bought and support you. Legal obligation: to keep business and tax records. Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure and answer your questions.

Sending to your accountant

If you use "Send to accountant", the app creates files on your device and hands them to your own email or share sheet. You choose who receives them.

How long we keep it

Order and licence records are kept for 6 years for UK tax purposes. Support emails are kept for up to 2 years. Data on your device stays until you delete it (Settings, Delete all data) or clear your browser storage.

Cookies

The app and this website do not use advertising or tracking cookies. This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page visits. To see which links bring people to QuidsUp, we also count, anonymously, when the Christmas planner is downloaded and when the app is used for the first time on a device (one count, once only). Each count records only where you came from (for example "Pinterest"), which we save in your browser's local storage on your device. You can turn this off at any time below, or clear your browser's site data. It doesn't use cookies, we don't collect any personal information, and nothing you enter in the app is ever included. The app uses your browser's local storage only to save your own information. The Stripe checkout may set cookies needed for payment and fraud prevention.

Anonymous counts are on on this device.

International transfers

Stripe and Netlify may process data in the USA. They use safeguards approved under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your information, and to data portability. Email us to use these rights. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Children

QuidsUp is meant for adults managing their own money and is not aimed at children under 13.
